For those outside of the worlds of WoW and RuneScape, it could have seemed an odd turn of RS gold events when the two games re-released what can be explained as old versions of themselves as standalone games. So let's dive into why both new and old players are enjoying those old-school variations of two of their most legendary MMOs. While'OSRS' may have originated as a version of the game as it had been back in 2007, it hasn't stayed that way. Rather,'OSRS' is an ever-updated game that keeps everything out of the old 2007 age, while building it out with new updates, content and events year-on-year. What is more, is that content is unique to'OSRS', not appearing 'RS3'.rnrnThis means players are not simply jumping to an old game, but into a living-breathing MMO that has been offer up new experiences to its own players. The same is true for'WoW Classic' that, since its launch in 2019, has also obtained many content updates since launch. Blizzard have even made it clear that they aren't opposed to adding expansions to the Classic version of the game, meaning that we may observe a similar occurrence to this of RuneScape if the game keeps up its player count.rnrnWith both matches hailing from the early 2000s and releasing waves on waves of content over the years, it's reasonable to say that from the mid 2010s those matches were rather different to their former selves. Whether that is due to feature bloat, power creep or balancing worries is very much up to players on a case-by-case basis, but the simple fact that these games had become so large is partially why fans wanted to buy RuneScape gold go back to a more stripped back, refined experience. While that, naturally, can be spurred on by a bunch of nostalgia, it's a simple enough concept to understand for any player who has returned to a title after many years. |
